To determine the size of a Stax Splint, measure the circumference of the first joint below the fingernail of the injured finger. These splints are meant to fit closely, so if you are between sizes it is best to go with the larger size. If needed, you can pack some medical tape around your finger before putting on the splint. Size 5.5 fits circumference of 7.1cm
