How it works
1 Translucent 3.8L (1.0 gallon) tank shows water level. Runs up to 24 hrs per filling.
2 Water tank automatically feeds water into the base.
3 Water flow is then atomized by a mist plate vibrating at a high frequency, and the mist is quietly propelled up the mist outlet.
4 Visible cool mist is mixed with dry indoor air to help raise humidity levels.
5 Scent pad slot for use with Vicks VapoPads for soothing scent. Holds up to two VapoPads.
6 Translucent tank with wide opening for easy filling and cleaning.
7 Variable output knob for setting output at any level.
Automatically shuts-off when empty.
8 Sweet Dreams projector creates an enchanting and soothing bedtime environment. The projector feature will transform your child's room with 9 dream inspired images. You can choose from starry night, sea and safari images. Once a theme is selected, the projector will rotate through 3 images within that theme. The projector power button allows you to operate the Sweet Dreams projector independent of the humidifier.
Keeping you and your home more comfortable with humidification:
Cold air is unable to hold as much moisture as warm air so as cold temperatures set in humidity levels drop. Even more moisture is pulled from the air when we heat our homes during the fall and winter months, which often makes indoor humidity levels drop to as low as 10% - making it drier than the air in the Sahara Desert. Some people can experience discomfort such as dry nose, throat, skin and eyes when the indoor relative humidity level is below 25%.
In the US, mostly during the winter months, one in five people suffer from the flu and children come down with an average of 7-10 colds each year. During cold and flu season, maintaining a comfortable everyday humidity level of 40-60% has a number of benefits for personal comfort and provides temporary relief from cough and cold symptoms. Using a humidifier can help raise indoor humidity levels.
Good for your environment:
Homes kept at 40-60% relative humidity - the optimal range - are likely to have fewer flu viruses lingering in the air and on surfaces such as sink faucets, door handles, and countertops. The typical flu virus can survive in the environment at least 24 hours. Maintaining a relative humidity of 40-60% can reduce the survival of the flu virus on surfaces and in the air.³
³A study by environmental health and engineering (environmental health 2010, 9:55) shows that keeping indoor air at an RH level of 40-60% can reduce survival of flu viruses on surfaces and in the air compared to lower RH levels.
Additional benefits of using a humidifier to increase indoor humidity levels include:
- Help temporarily relieve cough and congestion
- Help keep throat and nasal passages hydrated
- Help you breathe better and sleep more comfortably
- Help temporarily relieve dry nose, flaky skin, chapped lips and general dry air discomforts
- Help reduce static shocks
- Help prevent dry out damage to plants, furniture and paintings
